He stood at the end of the trailer’s living room, yelling, cussing, throwing things, like he always did when he was angry.
She, of course, was in the hall by the washer, crying, her face speckled. red streaks, tears dripping onto her shirt.
“I’m so sick of your bitchin, woman!” he shouted from the doorway, ready to run out, after he had yelled his final insult, stomped and delivered his final accusation.
“Just step over the line and see what happens.” he yelled as he went for the door. As the line was crossed, he stared in silence.

Thanks, Boomie…I have seen so much, herd so much, lived so much of this evil…If more women would step over the line, perhaps, less would have a line drawn around them by the police….eventually. Unfortunately for many, stepping over the line is the straw that breaks the cowards back…beebeesworld

this relatively new blogger, writer and poet sincerely thanks you for liking some of my work on the 20 Lines A Day Poetry page, the encouragement means a lot to me. unfortunately, my mom experienced the ‘line’, i learned a great deal about ‘what never to do’ as an adult during my childhood. very concise writing and very sad.
::::merci::::and keep the light.

oh, please no sorries needed, it was long ago and i’ve since reconciled my feelings. though it certainly shaped who i am and for that, i’m grateful.
unfortunately i still see and am empathetic to all who are facing such injustice today, so many children as well.
::::thank you:::and keep the light.
